Upgrade/Downgrade

Stocks have analysts from big brokerage firms that study and analyze the stocks in order to issue opinions of the stocks and the industries at large.

Upgrade – When an analyst issues an upgrade on a stock, you should expect the stock to go up on that news.

Downgrade – When an analyst issues a downgrade on a stock, you should expect the stock to go down on that news.
